Jonas van den Bogaard is a Digital Strategy Lead for Open Source at Alliander, a distribution system operator (DSO) in the Netherlands. Alliander provides reliable, affordable, and accessible energy transport and distribution to a large part of the Netherlands. He is involved in Alliander’s Open Source Program Office (OSPO) and helps Alliander to leverage the transformative, innovative and collaborative potential of open source. Also, he represents Alliander on LF Energy Technical Advisory Council.

As product owner, I am responsible for the Business Critical and Corporate platforms @Alliander. Under Business Critical, we support Public Lighting, Congestie Measurements, and Smart Metering. Our team plans to introduce a battery and non-battery powered gateway device in the near future to expand our capabilities. Here you can think of Catodic Protection, Cable Oil Pressure, and Fault detection To facilitate our business solutions, we make use of the Open Source LF Energy platform Grid eXchange Fabric (GxF), which my team maintains.
