I've worked in IT for over 25 years at the same Fortune 50 company. I started out as a mainframe developer working with COBOL and DB2. Early in my career I worked with the GenevaERS product and came to understand the scalability and efficiency the mainframe provides. During my career, I've had had different roles including Scrum Master and Product Owner. I have served as the Vice Chair of the GenevaERS Technical Steering Committee sponsored by the Linux Foundation's Open Mainframe Project since the project's inception. Among other things, I have acted as Scrum Master, run communications for the project, provide customer input and direction, and provided an independent voice. I was recently appointed the Chair of the project. Hobbies include collecting hobbies and caring for my over 30 pets.

I've been an open source and middleware developer for most of my career. I focus on backend and infrastructure development, but have been known to stray into front end interfaces when necessary. IBM Z is my platform of choice, but I also am spending an increasing amount of time working in the cloud. Learning new stuff is what makes all of this fun.

Mike is a solutions architect in the SUSE Integrated Solutions team. He works closely with a number of key hardware partners to identify, test and document joint solutions that help SUSE create unique value in the marketplace. His specialties include Linux on IBM Z, IBM LinuxONE, IBM Power. As well as Real Time Linux, High Availability and as a SUSE SAP Champion focused on SAP solutions using SUSE technologies. Mike graduated from Regis University with a degree in Computer Networking and enjoys camping especially in his home state of Colorado.

Sudharsana is a Program Manager with the IBM Z Ecosystem team. She has worked on several programs, most prominently the COBOL Course that launched on the Open Mainframe Project, and currently co-leads the Technical Steering Committee of the project. As an entrepreneur, she helped launch bay area startup ‘Mom Relaunch’, where she continues to be an advisory member of the board. She is also a core team member of a non-profit organization AIM for Seva that works to bring education to underprivileged children in India.
